NaNoWriMo: Day 5

I am on a streak!!

I wasn’t able to post this yesterday as my internet was acting up, so apologies for the delay.

Yesterday was Day 5 of the month long National November Writer’s Month event, and I have reached 10,000 words. I know , right!!

Okay so, a lot of you are saying, “But Billy Famous Writer does 10,000 words a day!” I say” Famous Writer doesn’t have RA or a back so messed up sitting in one place for for than 15 minutes at a time feels like having a sword run through one’s back. I’m doing well for getting 2,000 words in a day. So there!” Tongue sticking out goes here by the way.

Anyway, that’s my first big milestone reached.  My next is to be 1/3 of the way done with The Golden Knave’s first rewrite by Day 10.  I’ll be at 20,000 words out of my 60,000 word goal. 🙂

I’ll see you again about this on Day 10. Cheers.

See you on the flipside and don’t forget your towel and sonic screwdriver!!

NaNoWriMo: Day 2

Woot, I did it again!!  Yes, I did!!

I hit my 2,000 word mark for the second day in a row!! Fist pump goes here

I am very pleased with myself as you can tell. 😀

I have a dentist appointment tomorrow along with some other stuff so it’s going to be more of a challenge to hit the mark for the third day in a row, but hey, I’m highly motivated!!

I’ll report back on Day 5 when I will have hit my mark for the fifth day in a row bringing my grand total up to 10,000 words.  I am confident I will make it.

See you on the flip side and don’t forget your towel and sonic screwdriver!! I smell something inbound into our galaxy!

NaNoWriMo: Day 1

Success!!

I have a personal goal of 2,000 words daily and on this first day of the event, I wrote 2,239 words!  I also finished the first chapter of the first rewrite.  I am off to a great start!  I hope to do another 2,000 words so I will be getting a good night’s sleep tonight in preparation for tomorrow’s work!

See you on the flipside and dont forget your towel and your sonic screwdriver!!

NaNoWriMo Begins!!

Today is the first day of National November Writer’s Month 2017!!  This event goes all month long and has the fantastic goal of helping writers achieve a project – brand new or one they’ve been slogging over for a while. 🙂

The daily goal is 1,667 words with the end goal of 50,000 words.  My personal goal this year is 2,000 words a day with the end goal of 60,000 words.  I am planning on the final form of the book being more than that, but I am building up to it.

I will be using the first rewrite of The Golden Knave as my project for this year, and I am confident I will get it done in 30 days. 🙂

A Must Read!

Still from Fritz Lang’s Dr. Mabuse (1922). When it comes to ghosts, belief and outright disbelief are not the only options—or at least they weren’t in nineteenth-century Britain. The Victorians didn’t stick to simple arguments about the existence of ghosts; they also argued about how, when, and why they might exist. Spiritualists attacked spiritualists over whether…
