I mentioned this project in my update earlier in the week. I’m using a pattern created and written by Frank O’Randle on Ravelry. There are two patterns, one full sized at 111 rows, and there’s a mini version using 42 rows. The Mini Rings of Change(as it’s called) is free, but the Rings of Change(full sized) is $6.99 USD.
I am starting with the Mini Rings of Change and if I like what it looks like when I’m done, I’ll get the full pattern and continue. I am using crochet thread and a size “B” hook. I’m using up my stash of crochet thread size 20 so it may end up looking a bit strange to most people. I’ll be separating colors and groups of colors with white to try to make it look a bit nicer.
The above is what I’ve done so far. I’ve just begun Row 23. So far, pattern uses pretty standard stitches from slip stitch to triple crochet (U.S. terms) with some clusters on a couple of rows. I like how it looks so far.
I just got my first cake of sock yarn so I’ll be taking turns with the two projects, and I hope I don’t bore anyone. 🙂 It’s my first time making socks so it should be interesting – to me anyway.
See you on the flipside and don’t forget your towel and sonic screwdriver!
