I got a bit more done on this awesome project, and I’m starting to think I won’t do the entire thing because just what I have is so big! At it’s tallest, it’s 17 inches(43.18cm), and at it’s widest it’s 24 inches(60.96cm). That’s a pretty decent size, don’t you think.
Here is where I was last week:

The mane is on the right side and the face is on the left just in case you can’t figure it out. 🙂 The chin area is not done. The blocks on the edges show the completed sides. Does that make sense?
Here is where I am this week. It doesn’t look like much, but it’s at least 10 more rows than before.

I still need to do the top of the head, the chin and the rest of the horn to have the head portion done.
Here is what it’s supposed to look like when it’s done:

I don’t have a better picture I’m afraid, but I think you can still tell, pretty much, what the head is supposed to look like. It’s getting there. 🙂
See you on the flipside and don’t forget your towel and sonic screwdriver!!!
I’ve not felt like trying out filet work since I think it’s pretty fiddly, but I admit your project looks fabulous with each update! 🙂

There’s a lot of counting involved to make sure you get the mesh and the blocks in the right places but other than that, filet is very simple and easy to do. 🙂 I started out doing a simple piece with a knight in it, and the pattern is still free on the internet. lol
