I Finished!!
I decided not to do the complete unicorn. It was just too much for me at this time. If someone is willing to pay for it, I’ll complete it. Otherwise, I’ll be selling it as is.
The only thing keeping it from being a fully finished project is it needs to be blocked. I took a picture of it as it is now, unblocked and maybe, next week, I’ll share a picture of it blocked. 🙂
Here is what it looks like:

This was made using Aunt Lydia’s Crochet Thread Fine #20 and a steel hook size 1.90mm. It took up an entire ball – 400 yards(365.76meters)- of thread. I also forgot to measure it, but I’m sure it’s at least 3 feet tall and as much wide.
I had to put it on a futon because the space on my bed wasn’t big enough. The futon is open so it all is flat. The horn is on the what would be the back of the futon if it were in couch position, and the bottom is on the outer edge of the seat portion of the futon if it were in couch position. Have I confused you yet? 😀
I’m very happy with how it’s turned out, but I’ve turn my attention now on another big project. It’ s big in that there are many parts of it. I’ve already begun it, but I won’t show any pictures until next week. You’ll just have to wait!
See you all on the flipside and don’t forget your towel and sonic screwdriver!!
Wow! That is awesome! I had no idea it was that big! I don’t blame you for stopping where you did. Great job!

If I decide to do this again, for any reason, I’m going to use a much smaller hook with the size 20 thread. 🙂

That sounds like a good plan. I do agree with Anita. It would look great hanging on the wall.

Splendid! I love how gorgeous it is. It did turn out really big even when partially done, didn’t it? I’m imagining it starched and hung on a wall. 🙂

I agree it would look awesome starched and hung on a wall. My son has a wolf head I did, and we’re still looking for a big enough piece of black foam board or something to attach it to so it will pop, I did it in white crochet thread too,
