YouTube Tuesday Double Feature: The Northwoods Stitcher and Stitching with my littlie

I have discovered both of these channels just recently, and I’m quite taken with both of them for different reasons. I just felt the need to share them both, and I hope you’ll like them too.

The Northwoods Stitcher

This is Sarah from Maine and no, that’s not wine though it wouldn’t be a bad thing if it was. She has a crafting space I would love to have! What makes her stand out from all the rest of the stitchers I’ve watched so far is her way of sharing tips and tricks she’s learned over the many years she’s stitched while also sharing her work.

She has some great ideas for finishing as well. In her latest video she did a tour of her space, and she talked about all the different ways she’s organized and stored her things. I like some of the tools she’s talked about too.

Her stitching is varied too and so much fun to see! I highly recommend you take a peek at her first video above and at least leave a comment for her.

Stitching with my littlie

This is Kayla and her daughter, Lauren, though you can’t see them in the video above yet lol. What sets them apart from the other mother/daughter duos is Lauren is either 12 or 13. She’s a very talented stitcher in her own right though she does let mom, Kayla, do her back stitching for her. I think she’ll start doing it when she’s a bit older.

Both of them have different things they stitch though they both like some of the same designers. Lauren is very helpful to her mom too, as you’ll see in their most recent video. They only have 3 so far so you won’t have to watch many to get caught up.

I love how the two interact with each other, it makes me miss not having a daughter of my own. Neither of my two boys stitch either. Perhaps my daughter in law might take it up with me….

As always, if you like them leave them a comment if nothing else. We can always use a bit of feedback from others.

I really hope you’ll give these two a look and maybe, subscribe to them. 🙂

See you on the flipside and don’t forget your towel and sonic screwdriver!!!

YouTube Tuesday: Queen City Minis

Miniatures aren’t just for dollhouses and role playing games. It has become an artform. Big companies use machines to mass produce minis of all kinds. Regular folks use whatever they can – from every day household items to 3d printers and everything in between.

I just got some flooring from the Ukraine that’s phenomenal, but I’m not talking about that today. Today, I want to introduce you all to Queen City Minis, a YouTube channel run by a lady named Shyra. She has a voice a lot like Ara from Bentley House Minis – soothing, even toned and easy to listen to.

I found her quite by accident looking up a video on making plaster, and I am really enjoying her work. I don’t have a favorite to share so, I’ll share one that I thought you might like to see as an intro to her channel:

When it comes time to decorate my dollhouse’s kitchen, I’ll be using some of the techniques in this video and its related videos. She does some awesome work!

If you do like what you see, hit the Like button at the very least and leave a comment for her. We all love getting feedback of one form or another. If you want to follow her channel, please Subscribe. 🙂

I’ll see you on the flipside and don’t forget your towel and sonic screwdriver!!!

YouTubeTuesday: I Did a Thing

Yes, I made my first ever video. It’s not very good, but I’m a raw recruit when it comes to this sort of thing. I’m only able to upload 15 minute videos right now so you won’t have to suffer long should you choose to watch the following video:

The Griffin’s Nest is the name of my channel – duh! 😀

I do plan to make some more videos, and I hope you’ll come along with me on what is sure to be a learning experience for at least one of us!

YouTube Tuesday: Epic Gardening

Since Spring will be here before you know it, and many people say it’s time to start planting, I thought I’d share this very interesting – and helpful – video I found on YouTube. You really can find just about anything on there.

While I found this video very helpful, I’ll have to research how to grow them in a small yard/containers before I do anything. I’m also not planting radishes – uck!

If you’d like me to share any videos I find on container gardening, let me know. I’m hoping the Epic Gardener has some so I don’t fall down any rabbit holes. It happens more often than I like.

If you like the video, please let video creator know. We all could use some positive feedback on our efforts.

YouTube Tuesday: The Graveyard Stitcher

Isn’t that a great name for a channel?? When you watch her intro video, she’ll tell you why she chose that name for herself. I found her quite by chance – a random recommendation by YouTube that turned out well.

She only has 10 videos, but that just means it won’t take you long to get caught up. I enjoy watching her. She’s quirky, has a good sense of humor, and she does some beautiful work. I am looking forward to seeing more progress on her work especially one called Midnight Masquerade.

I like the more gothic style cross stitching, and she has some great projects in this genre. I highly recommend watching her and leaving her a comment to encourage her to make more videos. Everyone likes to be complimented, and she deserves it.

Let me know what you think in the comments below. If you have someone you’d like me to watch, doesn’t have to be Flosstube, of course, let me know in the comments below as well. I’m always looking for someone new to watch,

YouTube Tuesday: Dream Fairy_DIY

I’ve been wanting to make things with some of the bottles I’ve begun collecting, and I found this really cool video with a great idea for transforming a plain bottle into something gorgeous – imho anyway.

I’m going to be gathering up supplies to make this as I have a wine bottle I can use for it. I’m sure if won’t be an exact replica as my skills are rudimentary at best, but I’m going to give it a go anyway. Trying new things for the sake of trying is something I like doing.

Who knows, I might actually make something really nice looking. Enjoy the video!! I did. 🙂

YouTube Tuesday: Big Stack D Casting Revisited

When I first started my YouTube Tuesday entries, Big Stack D Casting was either the first or amongst the first I wrote about. Since that time, he’s done some amazing stuff, and his channel has grown tremendously!!

I’m linking to his Community page so you can see some of the things he’s been up to and then, you can choose a video to watch on your own. He is ASMR and has a cute pair of French Bulldogs who get to be in the videos when he’s not actively melting – got to be safe even with the furbabies!

Check him out and let me know what you think! Personally, I think the guy does some awesome work!

YouTube Tuesday: Salvage Hunters

I decided to watch something totally different from my usual, and I found Drew on House to Home, a BBC program on YouTube. Drew has his own playlist, and he’s on Season 5. The guy, and his team which includes his wife, is awesome, and they’re all fun to watch. I actually have been learning stuff as Drew is very knowledgeable on the things he goes after.

Below is the first video in his Season One playlist. Not sure if it’s his very first but still, it’s a good place to start. Drew is the man in the hat not the man in the foreground. 🙂

If you like the playlist, be sure to comment under the video to let Drew and the BBC know plus hit the correct buttons to see more from them all. I have!

YouTube Tuesday: Stitch Man Darcy

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, and I do apologize. I just don’t seem to have time to watch everyone on my list and still find new people to watch. I’ve actually had to cull a few from my list – ikr!

Stitch Man Darcy comes highly recommended from three of the people I watch on Flosstube videos featuring cross stitching and the people who love it so much so, I decided to give him a looksee.

He’s funny, he’s talented, and he doesn’t take himself very seriously. In fact, he tends to avoid being serious even when he’s showing off his beautiful work. He works primarily on full coverage projects with most being designs by Heaven and Earth Designs aka HAED, and he loves his 18ct Aida fabric. He’s also a big fan of Alice in Wonderland. That’s not to say he doesn’t work on other subjects – he’s doing a portrait of Jimmy Stewart right now.

I’m linking to his newest video below, but I do recommend watching his older videos as well -Princess with Himalayan Cat is incredible!

He does curse so fair warning!

If you like his channel, please let him know by Liking, and if you really like him, be sure to Subscribe! Let me know what you think about him in the comments below.

LIVE Bird Feeder Cam (4K) Gettysburg PA, over 30 species identified.

I just happened to come across this channel today, and I am loving it!! It’s a live feed but even if it wasn’t, I’d enjoy it immensely,

One of the draws of being in the country is being able to actually hear/see the birds and see the wildlife. I live in the outskirts of a medium sized city with a fairly decent sized yard. This means we have birds who come to live in the trees along with other wildlife. We actually have a possum living under our house, and I think it’s a female. We don’t really see her though, but that’s okay.

I love this video because I can stitch and listen to the birds or crochet and watch. There are a lot of birds on this video feed I won’t see unless I go North because they don’t live around my area of the South.

I live in East Texas USA, and this feed is from Pennsylvania USA which is far to the north.
I hope you enjoy this live feed as much as I’m going to!

If any of you have links or sites with live feeds such as this one, please share them!! I’d love to be able to see wildlife from different places than my own!
