YouTube Tuesday: Black Magic Craft

Canadian Jeremy is the crafter on this channel. Like Neil from Real Terrain Hobbies, he does a lot of terrain. Most of it is for Dungeons and Dragons and similar tabletop RPGs, but he says they can be modified for Warhammer and other such tabletops as well.

Unlike a lot of the crafters of this sort, Jeremy has an entire playlist dedicated to the beginner. As an interested beginner, the videos I’ve watched in this series so far have been incredibly informative without being condescending or dumbed down. He provides a lot of useful information based on his own personal experiences with different tools and techniques. He’s not doing a sales pitch, he’s just telling you what he knows.

Below is the first video in his beginners series, and I highly encourage you to check them all out in the order they are in on the playlist and not the order they were released. He’s adding more to the series as he feels they are needed so please, subscribe to his channel for that if nothing else.

I’m currently watching the video on how to make perfect foam squares for dungeon tiles as I’m a big D&D fan and an experienced DM in the game.

Let me know what you think of him!

See you on the flipside and don’t forget your towel and sonic screwdriver!!

YouTube Tuesday: Goobertown Hobbies

Brent is the man behind the paintbrush and minis on this channel, and he’s fun to watch and listen to. I enjoy his sense of humor as well as how down to earth he is. He’s done some really great work. I found about him while I was watching a video where he was helping Neil from Real Time Terrains paint the buildings for a town he was building. This town was part of a massive build that took Neil ONE YEAR to complete!! Talk about commitment!

Brent doesn’t just paint minis, he helps raise funds for charities and donates to charitable raffles – when he’s not playing with paints and glues at the molecular level. You’ll have to check out his channel to find out what I mean about that. Here is the link to his newest video and his continuing love for Warhammer minis:
