Vacation 2022 Countdown: 14 days to Haunted Texas Road Trip!

I am really looking forward to this trip! It’s going to be a lot of driving, but there will be plenty of stops on the way once we get to El Paso and start the journey there. It’s about 12 hours to El Paso if we follow the route on the map, but we’re not. We’re going straight to El Paso and then, we’ll follow the map. I plan to find the fastest route there. 🙂

My son. Joe, had originally planned to only live stream us checking out haunted sites but now, he has the bright idea of doing a kind of Subathon for his Twitch channel where he will livestream for so many minutes for each new subscriber he gets. His channel is:

https://www.twitch.tv/grimcommando95

He’s been streaming for two years now, and I’m so glad he’s stuck with it despite how slow it’s been to build up followers. It is an adult only stream as he curses, drinks(at times) and is just himself. He also streams games he plays with others and is always happy to play with someone new. He likes to try out new games too.

We’re going to be taking turns driving, and we’ll set up the phone as best we can to stream if/when it comes time to stream our actual traveling.

I’ll be posting pictures myself on a daily basis. I’m going to try to embed video as well, if I can figure out how. I’ll be focusing mainly on what we see at the haunted sites, if anything.

YouTube Tuesday: Fox and Rabbit on Flosstube!

For those of you who don’t know, Fox and Rabbit Designs is the producer of the Mystery Sampler Stitch-A-Long I did last year and am seriously considering doing again this year – it depends on what February’s part is going to be.

I found a lovely lady on YouTube’s Flosstube series which features different people showing off their cross stitch work. Many are designers while others, like myself, are happy stitchers who love finding new projects to do. I decided to see if I could find Fox and Rabbit on YouTube – they have a Facebook group so why not a channel on YouTube??

I found them, and I was happy to put proper names and faces to the pair!!

This is just one of their wonderful videos I’ve managed to have time to watch. I am planning to watch all of the ones I can find. They not only talk about themselves, their designs, their projects but also their animals and their personal lives – to a degree. I’ve gotten to #5 of their videos and so far, they’ve done giveaways in each one!

I am very happy to have found them, I even found a couple of places that sell their hand dyed linen. They’re not local, but they are in the same state as myself so I might be making a road trip to check out the fabrics in person!! The dyed linen I’ve seen so far are fabulous!!

I highly recommend checking them out and giving them a Like if nothing else!!

YouTube Tuesday: Wizardry Workshop

This fantastic channel is run by Danny who is a big fan of Harry Potter. 98% of what he creates is related to Harry Potter, and he looks like he knows what he’s doing! He also does unboxing videos of items that are also Harry Potter related so if you’re into HP, this channel is for you! Check out this video below to see what I mean:

If you like Wizardry Workshop, be sure to subscribe and let him know by dropping a comment on the videos you like!

YouTube Tuesday: North of the Border

I found North of the Border when I fell down the rabbit hole of book nook creation. I had started out looking at videos teaching me how to make my own book nook, and it went downhill from there. I got lost for hours looking at videos related to book nooks, and North of the Border was one of the top five I liked when I finally freed myself from the maze.

Adam is the man behind the hands and voice of North of the Border. Strangely enough, the name of his channel only makes sense to those who live in North America – he lives in Canada. Still, it’s part of the man’s quirky sense of humor and laid back style. He makes “lots of tiny nerdy things” – his words, not mine. For only being on YouTube for about six months, the channel has over nine thousand subscribers. Yes, he’s that good!! Don’t take my word for it however! Check out the newest book nook/diorama he’s created mashing up LOTR and Star Wars!

Gandalf vs the Balrog/Rancor

I hope you enjoy watching and listening while he makes some seriously fun stuff.
